Welcome to Birdies at Farnham Park – a place where community, nature and leisure come together in perfect harmony.

In October 2022, John and Jack took over the lease at Farnham Park Cafe and Golf Course, embarking on a journey to transform it into a vibrant hub for the local community. With a shared vision of making it the heart of Farnham Park, they have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming space where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together.

Renaming the Park Cafe was a pivotal step in our journey. After much brainstorming and deliberation, we chose "Birdies" – a playful nod to the golf term and the many birds you can see and hear while relaxing in our outdoor area. The name perfectly encapsulates the charm and natural beauty of our surroundings.

Our team grew stronger with the addition of Ben, our dedicated manager. With years of experience in managing golf clubs and a deep understanding of the catering industry, Ben has been instrumental in refining our menu and training our team. His expertise has brought a delightful array of simple yet delicious dishes to Birdies, making every visit a treat. Ben is passionately invested and involved in the long term vision of what we’d like Birdies and Farnham Park Golf Course to become and we hope he’ll be there every step of the rest of that journey with us. 

Amanda, John’s wife, has also played a crucial role in our journey. Her involvement with the team and the local community has been invaluable. Together, we have forged wonderful connections and hosted a variety of fantastic events, showcasing local artists' work and supporting local businesses.

Nestled in the heart of Farnham Park and surrounded by nature, Birdies is a unique and special place. We are committed to enhancing the park's biodiversity and sustainability, ensuring that our greens are up to par and our environment thrives.

While we have achieved a lot, we are far from finished. Our vision for Birdies continues to grow, and we are excited about the future. We are deeply grateful for the support and kindness of the Farnham community and look forward to many more wonderful moments together.
